LOL, try loading this on a PB...... You end with a brick :D
LOL, try loading this on a PB...... You end with a brick :D
so anyone who has loaded this OS notice any differences in battery life, speed, etc?
anything else that is different? lol
was going thru the first couple pages and saw conflicting stories of how to load and ppls experience...wondering if i should bother to read the other pages and try to load it up or forget it?
Just flashed yesterday, and right now it seems my battery life is worst than ever. Will wait for some days but if no improvments, go back to the previous os version
installed it, unfortunately with the 2mb carrier update as i did it 2x being stuck in the "update" screen..... so on the 3rd try i just updated it. next time ill try to bypass the carrier update. maybe that will unlock the apn settings.
in anycase, OS ran smoothly.... better than out of the box.... transition as well as sideloaded apps ran smoother than before...
amazingly, battery seemed to drain less.... (without changing my usage routine and network settings)
i know, as mentioned , this is just an update of att settings for US launch but this is what i noticed.
Z10- STL-100-3 (FIDO unit)- bought 3 days ago/unlocked already.....
btw if this thing gets me no data when i use a different sim..... its going on sale and am getting an STL-1001/1002.... just waiting for the price to go down a bit haha =). Dont think it should be a problem as i stick to major carriers vs VMNO's
Software:10.0.9.348 (due to 2MB carrier update i suppose)

(before loading .... all 10.0.10.x was 10.0.9.x.... and flash player version was "unknown" for some reason..... sorry i didnt make note... dont remember much)
Can anyone speak to the Battery life with the new OS? I am having severe Battery Drain issues, and have been told by BB the fix will be coming in a future OS Upgrade. Does this do it? For reference my phone will barely stay alive for 5 hours, with everything turned off. If anyone else could speak to this issue, and whether it is resolved with this update, I would appreciate it. Thank you.
I have know idea what you are doing with your phone but I am getting it to last all day, using H+/4G Network with some wifi.
Facebook and twitter used regularly, and fairly constant BBM group updates.
I did however have a faulty battery at 1st, it got really warm and didnt last long, took it back and swapped, now getting
much more realistic standby times.
My battery issue is certainly not a problem with myself. My battery drained 20% this morning in an hour, during which I sent 4 BBMs and 2 text messages, and recieved 5 BBMs and 1 text message. All radio signals are turned off. It is frustrating, because this is my 2nd Z10, both of which have had the issue.
At this point I've been told its a software issue, but I want to determine if that is indeed the case before my 14-day unlimited warranty ends. Does this update address this issue, which a RIM tech support acknowledged as existing for some devices.
What network settings do you have on, i have mine only switching 3G/4G and wifi on all the time if I am in an are to support it.
I would say batteries before the handset to be honest.
Everything is turned off. LTE is turned off in favor of 3G.
RIM tech support confirmed that there really was nothing more I could do in the area of power conservation. The back of the phone does get noticeably hot quite frequently, which leads me to think its a battery issue as well. I'm just so hesitant to take the phone back a second time, because its quite a hassle, and if phone #3 is just going to have the same issue it seems like a waste of my time, as well as the stock at Telus. So I'm trying to exhaust all avenues before a 2nd return and a 3rd phone.
I've been telling everyone this from day on on this thread.
A friend of mine at BBRY who would know told me exactly what you said but others on here were quick to dismiss my post because the version numbers were higher in this "Leaked" OS.
I am told there is ZERO difference in the leaked version and the latest OS you all had, except the leaked version has carrier (AT&T) specific updates.
Some are saying the leaked OS has corrected issues for them, reinstalling the OS I already had has corrected issues for me...

I told Phones 4 u that under no circumstances did I want another handset, I bought a spare battery myself and
noticed it was a lot cooler than the One I got with my handset, Just quoted that and they swapped the
battery only.
The fact.. the out of the box os ( .9.2372 I think) doesn't support encryption. Anyone still running them old os can go into the security setting, it should be in the list with development mode.
The leaked os has the encryption settings..
Your friend at bbry lied to you or that don't know wtf they are talking about.
Ok buddy, im sure you know better. Isn't the release date on that leaked version Jan 21?

Another point, apparently the rest of us were never going to receive this 10.0.10 OS. There is currently another OS just sent out for carrier testing.
"An updated version of BlackBerry 10 OS for the BlackBerry Z10 is being provided to carriers for testing and will be released soon to further address device switch issues."(blog dated Feb 19)
Source :http://helpblog.blackberry.com/2013/...zation-update/
So are people suggesting this "leaked"version is the same one in testing? Or was the rest of us just never going to receive this "Leaked" update?

For anyone using the original shipped OS can you clarify after taking a pic with the camera you are able to "Share" directly to FB app? I was never able to before installing this OS posted

Not direct from the camera but direct from the picture in the camera folder.

Actually yes you can. Take the pic, click on the pic in the camera app (bottom left) and hit share.

K for some reason after taking a pic and then clicking on the pic after within the camera app I was never able to share to FB. With this OS I am able to. Thanks for clarifying. Maybe I had a bug

Take a picture, open the picture thumbnail from the camera app, press "Share > Facebook" - seems to work a charm! (10.0.9.348)

Ok so I didn't get an answer yesterday but after reading this could possibly be an AT&T specific update I decided to load it yesterday. I have used it since about 4pm yesterday and its been performing better that the stock .2372 that was there before. My issues before the update was constant in and out of signal while sitting in the same spot. Sometimes text messages would send right away other times just sit there sometimes for two minutes. Lose data and then it would come back....calls also sometimes would not go through. After the update this issue is reduced it is not 100% fixed as I did have to switch airplane mode on then off once today. Had no difference in battery life compared to what I was getting before so that seems to be good so far as well. It's not better but no worse than before. Whether AT&T specific or not this update did seem to correct some of my issues. Also one big change I noticed for myself was with charging. On the stock OS I was having trouble when I plugged it in to show charging...with the new OS loaded no problems every time I plug in now within 5 seconds the screen turns on and the lightning bolt shows charging!
Damn right I know better. Jan27. And the 2372 build is from even earlier.
Do you honestly think an os that was compiled on Jan 27was going to be finished carrier testing by Feb5? Lmao
Is this release ever going to make it to end users? probably, from one carrier or another. Are they currently testing even newer builds? No **** sherlock
the blackberry link software gave me an update today that seems to have made my "Blackberry World" app go dark and the icon dissapear. I dont know if it was deleted or corrupted, but i have tried a basic reboot as well as a battery pull.
ps: it made me upgrade from OS 10.0.9.348 to 10.0.9.348 (the same one)
has anyone who has installed this update noticed on a pop3 email account is the an option now to leave a copy of mail on the server?
No i can not share to FB at all after taking a picture and i am on the .2372 OS still, but then again i never setup FB on my phone.
Upgraded. Battery was abysmal for a day, but it's getting better now. So far I don't see anything different from before, but I can't do things like testing Gmail.
