I'd really appreciate a constructive approach on these issues, since I only have 3 more days to return my Z10 (if necessary).

I started my workday today at 11am.
Before 7pm my Z10 stopped sending text messages. Battery was under 20%, but I was still able access the web (via cellular obviously) and make phone calls, but all my text messages were stuck (even after restart etc) until I was able to plug in around 10pm.
Please note this is my WORK PHONE (as well as personal). Like every other previous phone I've owned.

I have nothing going on in the background that I'm aware of. Netflix and Instagram are the only side loaded apps. Facebook and Twitter are always closed. No background refresh.

I had about 30 minutes of phone calls, 10ish quick response emails, 30ish text, 20ish BBM. Didn't even have time to social media today. Long story short, a fraction of what I'd do on my 9900!
Oh, I only have 3 email accounts set up via IMAP, as opposed to 5 on my previous 9900.

A few days ago it crashed and I wasn't able to access my emails for the rest of my workday! Ok, yeah, whatever, today my screen froze up when I switch to portrait in dropbox. (imgur: the simple image sharer) Bizare flickering etc. occurred a couple times until I pulled the battery.
Later I needed to access 2 week old emails, couldn't search on the server from my phone. Error messages during searches.

Had to find a computer to get stuff done. Please note, this is a work day and I'm out and about.

This is what it comes down to:
    - Battery has proven to be completely useless for even an 8 hour work day. Usually my days are more 12ish. Screen is at 60% brightness. I have a hard time believing "it's simply my fault"
    - sporadic crashes and screen freezes

I've read a couple threads on here of people switching back to their 9900 for work, but that's not really an option for me since I traded my 9900 in.

Look, the Z10 is awesome in many other ways, so is the hub and BLA BLAH. But I need it to do basic crap for work.
Like on comparatively speaking light use last for a work day. Not freeze and load my email in a reasonable time. Oh, and send my damn text out when I still have 20% battery.

Please don't post that your phone doesn't have ANY issues, because that doesn't help my situation.
I'm interested if others who have similar experiences, because If that's the case, I can return the Z10 and try to switch temporarily back to a Bold 3 or Torch 2 or invent my own phone until maybe the Q10 or whoknows?

    Any constructive ideas?

    Thanks.

Glad you have a couple more days to increase the pressure on your carrier and on BlackBerry.

I returned the phone and canceled my account at two carriers. With the third carrier, I am happy so I won't cancel them. (Fido)

Your description tells me your problems are "Rarely seen Here" so this means you are best off, going through the carrier to get to blackberry to get some resolution or total resolution

Another idea of mine is to ask for two new phones for a month -- two because then you can report back to blackberry all your findings and you both benefit

    Hope this helps.

To be honest, get rid of the sideloaded Netflix and Instagram, because you have no way of knowing how they are affecting your phone.
Even 'properly configured' android ports have been known to drain battery quickly even after they have been closed (eg. eBay) They also tend to dump caches and files into your devices memory which can lead to lockups and lag if your device memory gets too low.
Anything android is at the mercy of the Z10s Android runtime which is an older version and not going to be updated in the 10.1 release.

If you positively, absolutely have to have Netflix and Instagram on your phone, then maybe the Z10 isn't for you at this time. You can always wait and get one in 6 months or so when things have improved.

If you decide to get rid of your sideloaded stuff, remember that you will probably have to reload your OS to completely get rid of them.

I've been suspecting the same thing about the sideloaded Apps.
Instagram is a non-negotiable must to me, I might have to leave BB for a bit.
