I was a little dissapointed to find no Close Up mode on the Z10 as I had sometimes used this on my Torch but then I decided to try and find out how close it would focus. If zoomed out it seems you can fill the screen with an image about 2 inches square but when you first zoom all the way in you can get some pretty impressive close ups, just half an inch on a side fills the screen. Almost a lower power microscope. I think the reddish colour is from my hands.

I like the close up and macro shot type photos... which it can do quite well. Especially in dark conditions. Z10 win!

I don't know if I would go that far. You probably have a ring light to go with that. Trying to get some light on a small object when you are holding a big phone close over it is a bit of a problem sometimes. Here is another shot I took for fun[
