I am suddenly having an issue with the phone connecting to the computer. It makes no connection. It clicks, you hear the sound the computer makes for a new device connecting, but then nothing happens. Usually the password screen would pop up and blackberry link would open automatically, but now nothing.

I tried uninstalling blackberry link and I get this error: Error 1500. Another installation is in progress. You must complete the installation before continuing this one.

I tried re-starting my computer, same error.

Short of re-formatting my computer to get rid of a possibly corrupted blackberry link, I have no idea what to do.

Assuming you're on a Windows machine, go to your Services and stop, then disable all BB services. After you've done that, try uninstalling.
