    It's battery hungry because they chose to write there own UI in GL rather than using cascades. If you minimize it and just play music it isn't too bad on the battery.

    And if you start doing complex digital manipulation, starting with a lossy encoding like MP3 you can add noise real quick unless you carry enough precision.

    I also swear by Neutron, I actually have the BlackBerry Music Gateway set up in my car so I dock my Z10 and stream my music and it's cool to have the album artwork on the screen while the track is playing, the EQ is a really great option, definitely worth the money
