is there any way to clean the software and be like new with no lags?
Install BlackBerry Link > Plug your Device to PC > Open BlackBerry Link > ( on the top right ) > Click Preference > Click Reload Device Software > Click Reload.
Do a security wipe.

I was led to believe that there is currently no Malware that can run on the BlackBerry OS.

I think you just need to clear your browser cache.
Open browser.

Clear all those cookies out.
A website may have filled up your cache with junk.
Good luck.

Well, almost. Basically the only way you are going to have malware problems on a blackberry is if you send it an engraved invitation, send a limo out to its house, walk it in the door and assist it in doing its business. Even then you can stop it by closing the program and deleting the app.
As far as I know they only run in the android runtime and the malware effect is mostly just using up processing power and possibly, possibly file deletion if you gave it that power. There might also be some way for a program to force itself to stay open and need a reboot to fix. But that is still really bad malware writing.
Basically if you have spent more than an hour learning how programs work and how to monitor them, you can correct any problem on a blackberry yourself, even if you basically invite the malware straight into your blackberry.

Open up the device monitor and take a screen shot by pressing both volume buttons at once and then paste it here for us to see.

We would want to see your battery and CPU screen for the last 12 hours or longer while you are having your slowdown.

That is only a bit steeper than normal. The only thing that looks higher is the display, which can be decreased by lowering screen brightness. But you got to see your screen and we are talking like minutes of impact to battery life, not hours, so keep it where you can see it.
You could try a browser besides the blackberry one. The blackberry browser is very power intensive.
