Are the e-screens or an equivalent present in the Z10? BBOS e-screens were simply awesome.

Can't find any yet. Still playing. Maybe the old closed work if the keyboard is brought up on the home screen? Somebody surely tried that already though, and if it worked would be posted.

Although it's not a lot of info and not the true engineering screen. It does give uptime though. Which was the key to previous BlackBerry engineering screens

If you can access a code generator for the escreens for any BlackBerry it works on the Z10.

I'm not sure how accurate the escreen:// link is. I tried it and it says I have a up time of 55 million and some odd seconds. The phone has only been out for 3 days now and i have done several restarts. The pin was right though.

Got to the escreen and inputted what was shown and code generated.

But why wouldn't the escreen change after typing in the code?

Make sure to go back to the 'escreen' to type in the code -- not the same browser window that generated the code. Even then -- I had to try a few times to get it right, the code is only valid for a minute?

I got to the Escreen and did the code and I can manually scan for networks but all I get is ATT LTE/T mobile and Metro....I want to be able to use ATT 3G/4G

ATT blocks manually switching to 2G or 3G. Not even the e screen can get around it.

Why would they do that, and is there any way around this at all? I know they will phase out 2G soon, but 4G is far from reliable and it drains the battery too much (LTE that is)

Folks -- I'm at a loss trying to get this to work w/the e-screen.

What's the trick, here? Does the key go into the editable text area above the OS version, uptime info, etc.? Or, are we supposed to just type in the key blindly once it's been generated, period?

I've tried both and the e-screen never changes to anything else. What gives?

I'm seeing that my vendor ID is '0' (incorrect), and I guess that's what's preventing the mobile hotspot from being established? If anyone has any tips, they would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

There are several steps required to get to them
    1) You need to bring up the browser on your phone and go to a site "escreen://" without the quote marks.
    2) You'll get to a strange little page with some information being requested. This is to prevent you from COMPLETELY RUINING your phone
    3) Now go to eScreen Generator For BlackBerry on a different device (not your BB) Fill in the information from the BB into this screen.
    4) It will generate a passcode.
    5) on the BB type in this passcode (it is NOT case sensitive). You will not see anything being typed. If you did it right- you get into the highly dangerous engineering screens where the slightest mistake will brick your phone and void your warranty. If you did not type the code in correctly nothing will happen. Start again.

Actually it is somewhat case sensitive. If you use upper case letters it won't work.

You need a code from a code generator. If the code isn't working then you have the wrong code. Why do you need in there anyway?

i tried with several code generators and i can't get it work. I need to explore and see if there's any way to increase the handset speaker volume.
