I have one yahoo account within a slew of Gmail accounts. For some reason, when I wake up every morning, about half of the emails that came into my phone from yahoo have been marked as read even though they haven't actually been read. Does anyone know why this happens?

It also happens throughout the day too but not as frequently.

And you don't have your email account on any other device?

I use Outlook on the laptop but usually the laptop is not on when I go to sleep. Last night for sure the laptop was off but I had read emails when I woke up.

Yes, I have faced the same issue a few times. Somehow emails get marked as read. Maybe the OS update will take care of this bug.

I'm experiencing the same issue on my 9900.

I resolved it by removing my rogers.com email account from the Playbook. Not the greatest solution but I didn't want to discover emails sent to me hours or days beforehand which needed replies and were automatically marked read without me getting notified on my BBerry. Since I have my BBerry with me at all times, I'd rather be notified immediately on the phone versus tablet. Doesn't affect my Gmail accounts, just Rogers which is managed through Yahoo.
