If blackberry is sold off will the push notifications continue to work on email as I am not sure weather it uses blackberry server or googles.

Will push email continue to work if blackberry is sold off tomorrow.

Reason m asking this is even microsoft had a problem with push email as Google won't support imap for long and it extended it's services just for microsoft

If you mean push on BB10, yes it will continue to work. It uses imap idle or active sync.

BB7 and older will only work as long as the BlackBerry infrastructure is still operational.
