I'm trying to set up my Hotmail and Gmail for push instead of it looking for mail every second. Trying to save some battery where I can. Can you walk me through it?

When u set up my hotmail account all i had to do is enter my email address and password. Just make sure push is turned on and set sync interval to manual.

Yes, Hotmail is part of the "outlook.com" system now, and it supports push email fine, using EAS, which is pretty much the best "internet compatible" push system.

As Viper8423 wrote, just entering in your email address in the automatic default setup should configure that for you just fine. Once you enter your email address and password, it will self-populate all the server address fields and settings for you.

Gmail should work very similiarly. Just enter your email address and let the app set it up for you. Gmail even has its own dedicated entry in the advanced setup, if you want to go that way.
