i think i just set up my sympatico email account on my z10 correctly. my question is how do i set how often my z10 checks for emails at my bell sympatico account? i only want it to automatically check maybe once every 2 hours or so. i dont want it to be often enough that it is killing my battery off prematurely. any help would be greatly apreciated.

You can't change the time it polls.

Try going to Settings>accounts>"youraccount">advanced, then near the bottom you should see sync interval.

Just another thought though considering your expressed desire to conserve battery life. Would switching for push to pull really save you that much battery?

Push normally uses a long lifespan HTTPS request (30mins or so) that opens a connection to the server but I don't believe that you device is actively sending and data across the connection unless it is receiving an actual msg or it is reestablishing the connection.

I would hazard a guess that you wouldn't see any quantifiable battery life gains from using polling.

Though I could be very wrong.
