Possible new problem! My contacts just started auto deleting! It's only been 2 so far. Contacts are deleting and text messages are only showing their phone numbers because there is no contacts linked. Everyone go back up your Gmail contacts NOW incase this gets worse.

this duplicated gmail contact happened to me as i sync my Z10 into my PC.

to deal with this issue, i delete my gmail contact account, and re-add the account again,, voila, the contact gmail is back to normal.

well, i hope there's a easy way than deleting account (which already easy anyway thee hee)

Guys here is the solution,

Go to your setting, accounts, gmail contacts and delete gmail contacts account from there.

Add again gmail contact account, and boom, problem solved.

did you follow my post up there?
better turn off the other account such as facebook, tweeter etc in contact list.

and delete your gmail contact account, and add again the account.

Ok it seems Gmail has discontinued their active sync.. on my windows 8 computer it says I need to relink the account because Google no longer accepts active sync.. so don't know if this is why we are all having this issue or not

A few hours ago I posted that 2 contacts had auto deleted. Now a few hours later all 700 are gone. Not only from my phone, but they also have been deleted from the Gmail server. Everyone back up your contacts. Hopefully only I got the worst of it and you'll all be ok. 2 of my Z10's phones have only duplicated. My 3rd duplicated at 1st and then many hours later everything was gone. (The 3 phones have different contact lists on each one).

Add me to this list, except the issue started the day I bought the phone. I deleted the duplicates and it seemed fine, but it came back earlier today.

My Google contacts are done over activesync not cardDAV and I have seen no issue on my device.

Same problem here.
It seems that there is a BlackBerry specific problem, on iOS, Android, OS X and the webface of gmail are no duplicates - only on the Z10, synced via carddav.

I removed the GMAIL Accounts from my phone. Contacts, calendar and mail. Then reinstalled them. Took about an hour for my contacts and calender to sync. Do far I have no more duplicate contacts. I did this about 6 hours ago.

Create or use local contacts to link to others. Let Z10 take hours to sync (don't restart immediately). That's all.
