My junior operator dropped my Z from shoulder height onto metal grating. I saw a new phone in my future. But not a scratch. It is housed in the flip case for BlackBerry Z10. I am impressed with it. But if he does it again I might have a stroke.

Which case do you have? I have a regular rubber case, but still looking to buy a good flip case.

Ouch! $75 is not bad for a new one though. My z10 flipped off my lap getting out the car (forgot it was there) and slide across the street, damaged the screen and housing I've found some replacement I'm ordering Monday.

My brother on the other hand was using my flip case for his z10, and when he was at work dropped it into a barrel of wet cement, pulled it out quick took the case off and whipped it. He had dry cement in all the holes by the time he for home. He brought it by my place and I cleaned them all out, the weird thing was the headphone jack and all still worked after, everything was good besides some rocks that damaged the screen whip he clean the cement off.

Z10 a strong phone, iPad that in by iPhone in either situation it would have to be replaced.

It's the flip cover case that has the magnetic cover to shut down the phone. The cover converts to a stand for landscape viewing. It has the blackberry logo on the front cover. The phone sits in a plastic cover.

A couple of pic. I altered the top of the cover to allow me to see the led.

I dropped it at hip level while replying to someone's BBM message. It's fine cos my Z10 is housed in an Otterbox. I already anticipated my butter fingers would lead to such a situation. Anticipated it well in advance. Hahaha.

I have full insurance. So the $75 fee was because they had to pull a brand new phone that they could otherwise sell for $200 off the shelf to replace mine. I have Verizon

I guess I'm the unluckiest person ever. Had my WHITE Zed on a puregear bumper case since day one. Never dropped it, so I replaced it with a sleeker mobo hard shell today.

6 ft free fall to the pavement on the mall's parking lot.
    Scuffs on both right corners.
I can't even "cleanse" the wounds so at least they look white instead of grey.

Same thing happened to my phone the second day I had it. It was connected to the charger and layed on my PC desk. My daughter sat on the chair and managed to get stuck somehow in the cable and swoosh my phone went down on the tree floor with a hard bang. I thought for sure it was marked for life somehow and it lay there on the floor with the screen facing down.

Luckily I can't find a single scratch. None at all! Looks totally new. Did not think I was going to be so lucky. Specially since I don't have any kind of protection on it.

I drilled a hole and used a embellishment from my wife's scrapbook supplies. Kind of like a rivet.

I dropped mine at work, it was terrifying. I was charging it and I stood up from my desk not knowing that the cord was caught in my desk chair and my phone was ripped from my hands. I saw it free fall in slow motion as I yelled Nooooo! (actually, I yelled s**t!!!!!) Then it crashed to the hard floor top corner first. I was thrilled to see that not only did it survive, it was completely unscathed.

Haha. This is exactly what happened to me the other day, down to the loud "S**t!!" remark. The only difference is that my Z10 hit face flat on the floor. Lucky not a scratch. But I'm worried that something wrong might happen to my phone's function.

Also worried about this. My phone has had two incidents. one throw and one fall. are there crystals or anything that could loosen that might cause less functionality, or other issues?
