I read some posts here where people with certain issues with their Z10 were advised to charge it with its original charger and not a blackberry power charger.
    Does it really matter?
I've been usiing my power charger ever since I got the Z10 a few weeks ago - I use it all the time because its faster.
I don't even know where the Z10 charger is or what it looks like.
    Should I be concerned?

I think most people's experiences here relate to using cheap low amperage chargers - that's why people say to use the one that comes with it. That way it rules out the possibility of using a charger that is rated too low to fully charge the phones Battery.

I exclusively use playbook chargers with my Z10's. Had them almost 2 years now and haven't had any issues at all.

Playbook charger, here, too. No problems that I'm aware of and it charges faster, too.

As stated the issue is using a good, high end charger. It's not so much that the cheap stuff will under charge, you have no idea what some of the garbage is actually rated at. The really low end manufacturers probably have one charger and five or six different labels to stick on them.

And this is a very good reason why not to buy refurbished blackberrys

This myth was due to stl100-1.. somehow its calibration problem was linked with using different charger.
Anyways I don't have any problem with my lumia 920 charger and the power bank outlet... both of these charger are effective for charging.

I also use playbook chargers and the one that came with my G2. Which is also higher output than the stock Z10 charger.

No problems with refurbished Blackberrys here. Current Z10 has been great for the past year and a half, and the 9800 I had for almost 3 years before that have both been refurbished.

I use A Qmadix charger output 5V 2.4Amp to charge my Z10 for the past 8 months, it's faster than my play book charger and the 1.8Amp BB car charger! The phone gets A little warm to the touch after charging it at 20% or below, I haven't experienced any issues with shorter battery life.

My wife uses this charger for her Q10 with out issue for the past 6 months! AS others have said quality charger = no issues.

I use the charger which came with out of the box.

I also tried a Nokia charger which delivers 2A (instead of the 550mAh) of the original charger.

My device loads twice as fast as with the original one, but the battery also got really warm when using it.
So I don't know if this harms my Z10 or it's battery - so I decided to go back to the original one just to make sure everything runs fine.

Normally there should be a sensor in the charging port which should prevent any damage, but I don't wanna put it to the test.

The battery getting warm is a good point. I usually charge my Z10 with the BB power charger - the one with the yellow end. I either plug that either into the BB mobile Charger attached to the phone, or just into the phone itself. Will that matter?
Also, can anyone tell me what the original Z10 charger looks like? I have no idea where I put it.

I use the PlayBook charger on my desk when I'm developing or want a quick charge. I use the USB charging port on my alarm clock and a non BlackBerry short cable over night.

Does it really matter which charger you use to charge the Z10?-image.jpg
