It doesn't support USB OTG unfortunately, wish it did. One of the reasons I got the Z30 as a replacement.

one of the reasons I got my Z10 as they implied at one time that the Z10 would have the feature at launch or with a later update ... kinda naffed off when I learned it's apparently not possible on a hardware level

Is it likely that 10.3.1 update will include USB OTG support for OS10 blackberry?

Not all BlackBerry 10 phones support USB OTG. The Z10 doesn't... not capable due to hardware.

USB OTG was never promised on the Z10.

It was Wi-Fi Direct that was promised, and listed on several phone spec sites just prior to release.

In fact, the STL100-1 does have the hardware for Wi-Fi Direct, as it's part of the Texas Instruments OMAP chip set used in that phone. But, because the subsequent Qualcomm Snapdragon chip set used in the -2, 3 & 4 didn't have Wi-Fi Direct, BlackBerry chose to not enable it for the -1.

Well you can take advantage of the black Friday sales and pick up a ridiculously cheap Z30 and have amazing battery life and sound to go along with the USB OTG support.
