I tried to move contacts from my torch to my z10. since I do not want to do it the email way (sync with google then add google), so I tried to do it the vcard way (save vcf).

I connect my phones via Bluetooth. when it's connected, I open my 9800, click the z10 device in my Bluetooth list, then there is option 'transfer contacts'

I click that, then in my z10, it asks to confirm vcf transfer. click OK, then transfer contacts

contacts transfer successfully, it says I have 141 contacts, but when I open the vcf, I only see 1 contacts instead of 141.

I m not sure what's wrong with my phone? I tried another vcf from another phone, this vcf has successfully populate in my tab 2, but not in my z10 as well

Sounds troublesome! I've had on several occasions people text message me vcf contacts from their phones, and they open on my Z10 perfectly.
