    I think DJ had a blog post about an app that could do that... I'll look for it and post back if I can find it.

    I recently found DocuShortCut and it does a good job for me. I even combined some of the created shortcuts and placed them in their own folders. For me this makes it easier to get to specific series of manuals, data sheets, etc.

    I agree, Docushortcut is pretty cool and lets you make a shortcut to any file type and even change up the icon in the more options section.
