The only major drawback had been that stupid emergency call icon that is available on a locked screen.

Yeah I do. It keeps the prying eyes of children out of my grown up conversations. I guess it's like a parental control. Hey now there's an idea. Allow a second profile for guest privileges. That would be amazing! And probably quite easy to do provided they were allowed only basic access. Games, phone maybe contacts and texting so parents with 2 phones could give one to their kid and be able to keep in touch.

It has saved me 100 times, even when someone just randomly picks up the device to look at it they can't see anything.

I just upgraded from 10.0 to 10.1 and was able to have the simple number lock. However I still don't use it cuz it's just not as convenient as other OS's password lock

No. My phone is either on my desk next to me, I own the business and am the entire crew and work at home. It never sits where it could be stolen other times. Ever. It is never touched by anyone but me or my wife.

Yes!
I cannot use my work email (Exchange Active Sync) unless I do.
I really like simple password as I was pressing the wrong keys about 50% of the time.

Also, I once misplaced my phone in a convention center and it was recovered by security. It had my contact info on the lock screen. This was an original iPhone in the days before find my iPhone. Not sure if the lock screen helped, but at least I know that people weren't going through my stuff.

I do...but keep extending "Lock Device After" time feature. Started at 5 mins, now at 20.

I wish the device unlocked after the final digit of the password was entered...instead of needing to tap OK (or RETURN).

I tried to use a device password on my Z10 but I didn't keep it on for long until the new Short Password option became available in the 10.1 MR update. The new Short Password option is perfect for me, it's quick and easy. I'm right handed and type with my right thumb while holding the phone in my right hand. The enter key is not a problem for me, I think it's perfect.

Still loving my Z10!
