contacts & calendar often open most everything else closed. I would really like to be able to have the option to pin the few i want in top positions.

I always leave 2 or three open. Battery Guru shows that there is no real drain on the battery.

And I remember people originally complaining you could only have 8 open at a time. Does not appear to be much of an issue for most people.

I have 3 - 4 open while at work - bbm group, password keeper, remember and calendar - because I use them all day. Once work is over though I close them down and don't keep any running in the background.

Where my ocd kicks in - i can't just leave the screen on to timeout. I always push the button on top to put the phone to sleep (or whatever that state is referred to on a Z10).

I only keep wallpaper HD open so I can see my battery percentage and have my weather bar that includes the date by the way, at the top. Other then that, if not using something it gets closed.

    P.S. - I also keep CB10 open a lot ad well.

With all my previous BB's I became accustom to close all app's when I am done with them to conserve battery life. I guess don't have to do it with Z10! Love the phone!!!!!!! Go Blackberry!!!!

Haha I know what you mean.

You need to get the Flip Case. Lid has sleeper magnet in it.

This is how you CB10, son!

I leave HUB++ open, as well as OpenWhatsApp and Battery Indicator Pro. So, yes.

Same here. Very little or no battery drain with them open.

I only leave certain ones active, usually Twitter, Facebook, and CB10. Others I leave active at certain times, such as ScoreCenter or Weather.

Not using active tabs definitely does conserve battery though.

I close when I'm done, but not unusual to have 2-3 open when I'm doing something ( ie writing email but referencing browser, files or contact info to complete it). I'm no different on my PC, I open and close as I need to. That's the beauty of BB10, you open what you need and flow between them.

Sometimes but battery life is PRIORITY! so with that said, I close most and reopen when I need them.

I usually have only one app open at a time and keep Wallpaper Changer running. Like others, I'm use to closing apps after I need them - old habit from my 9930 days. Nice to know I really don't have to do that anymore, but need to watch my battery consumption.

I close then too, force of habit. I don't want to waste battery or data so I turn them off.

I close apps when I'm done unless I need to juggle things which I'd often. Here's one awesome tip: pressing the search button at the bottom of the screen displays the 16 last used apps in addition to allowing you to launch any app not on the list by tapping the first couple of letters of the app...
