Hi everyone, where I live blackberry`s are not very popular, they never were actually, but I always liked those devices,i used the curve 8900 for 2 years and I was very happy with the device, then I moved on to iOS,and now my primary phone is Lumia(windows phone).I need another device (as a secondary phone),and I can get the z10 fairly cheap, because like I said blackberry is underrated here.I consider myself tech-savvy person so I know the specs and what bb10 can do,but since I actually never had the chance of "playing" with any bb10 device,i`d like to hear your opinions about how good is it for every day use,and by that I mean everything a normal user is doing with a smartphone today, combination of work(emails, documents etc.),social networks, music, videos, you get the point.I guess i`m trying to ask is it sufficient enough for someone that is not a enterprise user, because like I said I`ll use it as a second device, but by that I don`t mean just texts and calls(if I wanted that, nokia asha would get the job done )

I still use Z10 daily even though I also have Z30. The 10 is compact and has a beautiful screen.

The battery could be better, but I plug it in at work if I think I need that. It helps to have an extra charge or a micro-USB cable to connect to the computer.

No I don't think it is a good device for the general public.

My reasoning is that most people under use their phones. If they use a Z10 it would be extremely under use. It has games which most people like but they may not have the latest & most popular games. Although it is really great to plug your phone to a big screen TV to play games but most people will not know how to do that.

Most people are used to taking many steps to do things but there are too many short cuts & simplified ways to do things on a Z10. This is not good for people. People are generally used to tapping the screen & not swiping which is what we use on a Z10.

The battery life is not as good as the other devices available in the market. After they use the Z10 they will find difficulty using other devices, unless they are not using the Z10 correctly.

    It doesn't bend, though.

And as mentioned above, battery life should be better. Make sure you buy a spare.

Definitely a good device, has some flaws that were already discussed on the forum but it is definitely worth it for the price that it is selling right now.

Z10 is great, my sis and niece love it (and the are so not tech people). It runs buttery smooth and the displa is great. Plus, you can get it for under 300 USD, so it is definitely a bargain.

It's an awesome device to do the things you mentioned and the price tag makes the Z10 a steal.

Worst one for common people, specifications are very good but you can't do without battery. Lumia is far away according to stable performance.

I loved my Z10 an excellent phone but no longer use it. Got the Z30 installed the latest 10,3 OS leak and now the Z10 is just a back up phone.

I've been happy with mine apart from the poor battery life, but I'm more of a "work" user who has numerous push email accounts synced to the Hub.

You should also look into the "app gap" to make sure something you want isn't there . Amazon and Snap has largely reduced its impact, but I find that this is often a sticking point for users on this board, after years of "there's an app for everything".

First of all make sure BlackBerry keyboard supports your language. Some people complain there is no native support for some Eastern European Slavic languages. Otherwise Z10 is a great device and once you get familiar with BB10 gestures and shortcuts it actually gets the job done faster than comparable iOS and Android devices.

Be sure to use OS 10.2.2.1609 with your Z10

Amazing signal reception and battery life.

Better than any 10.3.0 or 10.3.1 which is the worst OS of them all.

Not that poor with 10.3.1... Battery saver mode is what the Z10 needed.

10.3.1 not even supporting Adobe Flash

The battery life really depends on how you use phone.

I use messaging services quite frequently, have 3 emails syncing every 15 to 30 mins, 1 email sync immediate. Other services only manual sync when I opened them. I don't keep any apps running. So my typical battery charge lasted 8 hours to 10 hours in between.

The way I use the phone the battery holds for 12-15h. In idle goes for over 48h. What to complain about?
