I would never call it the "zed 10!" Doesn't sound cool to me like a lot of others keep saying! Z10!!! You go to Verizon's website and its "Z10" ...as well as other phone carriers here in America!

Thanks for making me want to skip this phone. I don't pronounce the Galaxy S III however they would pronounce that in Korean (though it's probably Galaxy S III). I'm not walking around the US saying "Zed 10" because very few people would know what I am talking about. The primary purpose of any language is to communicate effectively with other people.
So you are going to skip buying a phone because of the name pronunciation? Where you even planning to buy this phone in the first place?

I called the iRock Zed28, Nissan 350/370Zed, blackberry Zed10, and the list goes on. It sounds very weird saying Zee10 or 350/370 Zee or whatever.

Z10 because that is what my region says but I know other people say Zed10 or Zeta10. I don't make other people pronounce it the way I want just because that is what I do. I was frankly surprised that people here are so anti-American and intolerant of other people's way of doing things when I first came here.

Besides saying Zed reminds me of Rip Torn in MIB and no one wants that.

I don’t know about the rest of you but when someone calls me by my name I personally prefer that they pronounce it correctly and not in whatever fashion or regional dialect they prefer. In fact, I have noticed that when I meet new people and they have various spellings or pronunciations of their names they get pretty annoyed if I just choose which ever one I feel like… it’s a name and I will respect the pronunciation and spelling given to it by the person who named it… that being said Thorsten called it a “Zed 10” when he announced it…

A few years back Chevrolet produced a really hot pony car - the Camero Z28. Definitely was not the Zed 28 down here.

Strangely I find myself saying it both ways. Not sure why I do though.
I think we should stop calling it a "Zed" Ten or "Zee" Ten all together, and just call it what it really is: BlackBerry Zen.

Funnily enough I would usually say Zed if i was saying the letter alone, but Zee10 just feels so much better don't think I've ever referred to it as the Zed10

There's a reason the Z10 gives you options for English - UK and English - US. They are not quite the same languages and both are legitimate in their own right. So it doesn't really matter if it is Zed or Zee.

Besides, the Z10 is modified for different regions. And you can bet it is said differently in Dubai, Paris or Kuala Lumpur. Another cool difference for BlackBerry. I doubt that there are too many different ways to say iPhone or Android!

It's the same question between Opel "Aedaem" and Opel "Adam". The german say "Adam Opel" (it was the founder of the Opel company) and not "Aedaem Opel". The Main thing you unterstand this. ;-)
