Im debating weather or not to buy a screen protector for my zed but I find it takes away the beauty of the screen. Do you have a screen protector on yours?

I do and my screen protector is a mess. Full of scratches and stuff.

I was originally not going to get a protector, until I saw a faint scratch( from my finger nail I'm guessing.)

But like I said, now my screen protector is full of scratches and I just want to remove it.
Damned if you do, damned if you dont.

I got a matted, anti fingerprint screen protector. Has a nice and smooth feel to it and now I carry it naked, free from the flip case.

I have a good one. I got it from the source for 20.00. Works really well actually. I've dropped it on the screen and no issues luckily

Yeah decided to go with one after a few days. $10, nice and smooth, can barely even notice its on. Have a few small nicks on it, but have had it for 2 months. I figured $600 phone, might as well try to keep it looking new for as long as I can.

Negative, no screen protector here. Whenever you have some free time, go check out Moh's scale of mineral hardness. Most tempered glasses fall around the range of 7, give or take from what I've researched, but please correct me if you find that information incorrect. With that in mind, only minerals of 8, 9, or 10 can scratch a lower rating. So the only places I would not bring my phone without some type of protection would be the beach or close to coastal areas (due to quartz in sand), and if I'm going to loan my phone to someone who has diamond earrings to make a phone call.

With all that in mind, I will say that micro scratches do occur from random particles (of higher hardness) that might happen to find their way into your pockets, but these don't bother me personally as I'm not normally looking at my phone under perfect lighting at different angles looking for scratches when the screen is off.

Just my $.02, let me know what you think!

    -Matt

Edit: forgot to mention, the plastic screen protectors you place over your screen obviously are not as hardened as tempered glass, so when you place your keys or coins in a pocket with your phone and the screen protector gets a scratch, it does not necessarily mean that the underlying screen would also have suffered a scratch if the protector was not present. ^_^

    Yup. Got the official one.
I tend to have a screen protector for all my phones, and it doesn't take away from the quality at all. My protector has minimal scratches. Keeps the screen 100% scratch free as well. Win win!

Wouldn't dream of not using one - I use Vikuiti (3m) and have done on last 3 phones and PB.
There are 2 schools of thought - cheapos that you keep replacing or good quality like Vikuiti. I had the same one on my Torch for over 2 years, never noticed it was on.

I have the one that came with the Hardshell Transform Case. It fits perfectly, and it is still very easy to use gestures and see the screen and all that. Just make sure you're somewhere you can concentrate on getting the screen protector on just right, without dust and stuff.

Yes I have a iSmooth screen protector on my Z10. Its hard for me to justify $25 vs $599. I find that good screen protectors ($20+) resist scratches a little more than the cheap ones, but I rather scratch a screen protector than the actual screen......just my two cents

Ghost Armour (screen only). This is great. Crystal clear, you have to look very closely to see it's there. $25 at my local mall, installed. Lifetime guarantee. If it gets too scratched up, they'll re-do it.
