Yesterday, my Z10 suffered a fall that cracked the screen pretty badly. In addition, early last year, the headphone jack stopped working.
I've decided to repair the phone myself but I just need to get some advice first!

I have the STL100-3, and I plan on buying this part:
BlackBerry Z10 LCD Screen and Digitizer with Middle Plate (4G Version)

Would this be the suitable part (says 4G Version) for the STL100-3 (4G LTE)?
Is ETrade Supply considered a safe place to purchase the OEM part from?
A review on the part suggests that the display has poor brightness, contrast and colours compared to the original's. Has anyone else purchased this part and experienced the same?

While I have not dealt with etrade, others have posted that is where they got replacement parts. You might search for their name here and see what you can find.

From what I have read, you need to get the exact part number when replacing the screen. Apparently, there are different models, so find the part number on the back of the existing screen and make sure that is what you buy.

Well I looked over what screen assemblies they offer and it's only two: a 3G version and a 4G version.
Unfortunately, that's all the information that I see to distinguish the two assemblies. No LCD part number is given.
So, in that case, I was thinking that maybe all I would need is the 4G version for the STL100-3 Z10?

I don't know if you can contact them. Since your unit is shot, right, you could start taking it apart and check the part number. (this will also bump this thread a bit!)
