Really? You guys don't see it? It specifically mentions Windows Live Messenger, which is now Skype.

The 6mb OS update is pretty much a legal agreement you have to agree to, before they release Skype.

It's very odd that the updated legal agreement would specifically mention windows live Messenger (Skype) and no other third party apps.

The OS update didn't require a reboot which means nothing was installed. The version numbers didn't change either.

Skype is the only conclusion I'm coming to.

Was the option to add Windows Live Messenger and/or Skype addresses in the Contacts there before? Just had a look and the option is there (Add Field > Instant Messaging), but I'm not sure if that's new.

I just received notification of this 6mb update on Telus.

I'm seeing it mentions battery optimizations, again.

I think that was there prior to the update. The update didn't add anything, a reboot wasn't needed.

Perhaps. It just seems odd that an update adding nothing would be 6MB.

Legally they are still RIM. They just use BlackBerry as their name. Like a numbered company, they have a number as a legal name but have an actual name on a sign.

It's like the second page of the SLA.

You can find it by going to: settings > about > category legal > BlackBerry SLA

    It's 3-4 scrolls down.

I'm with Virgin and had to agree to the public legal statement, my wife is on Rogers and she didn't get that part of the update? Go figure? Both were 6 mb updates with no changes to OS versions etc.
