I see we can encrypt device and cars separately.

My question is, if encrypting the device will make it difficult in the future for migrating info to another unit

As for card encryption who does this? I tried it once and the issue I had was when changing handsets you can't just slide the card into the new phone. This makes it very inconvenient especially if the cars is huge.
