Unsync your accounts then resync them excluding the import contact options.

Are all the contacts on the SIM card? If so,

Tap on contacts, make sure it is showing "All" -> Swipe down and tap on "Settings" -> Scroll down to "Manage SIM Card Contacts" -> Tap "Select All" -> Delete.

They are on the device and I am now tediously selecting them all individually by letter to delete them. I need to delete them all as they are just going mental on the phone! Delete all, stop syncing to millions of emails and social media and then bluetooth from my 9900 and make sure that just device contacts are showing

    Thanks!

That's where pressing typing rset on the old phone cam in handy. Can't seem to find that on the Z10. If you Sync with an email account you could back up your contacts from that email account just in case you need them again and delete them all from the email account either online as in google or natively through outlook. The next time the phone syncs they should go. Delete the email account of the phone and set it back up again without synchronisation. I think that would work.

I've just encountered the same problem and based on Bla1ze suggestion this is how I've done it:

    - Delete Gmail contacts account in Z10
    - Delete all contacts in Gmail account in the web (https://www.google.com/contacts/#contacts)
    - Upload all contacts from my Outlook to Gmail account in the web using Google Apps Migration for Microsoft Outlook (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/outlookmigration)
    - Add Gmail account with option to sync contacts in the Z10 and wait till all contacts have been synced.

Anyway I still miss the old way of being able to sync between the handset and Outlook. Hopefully this functionality will soon be added with next update of the BlackBerry Link.

You can do it with an outlook. Com account without link. Just open an account and use outlook connector. Swap all your contacts into your new outlook account and your phone will wireless sync them. Some people don't like the idea of their contacts being in the cloud and stored online but I actually prefer it this way. No more searching for a usb lead and booting up my pc.

Oh I so hear you. I have tried syncing with Deja Office, Deja Hub, Live.ca (not that bad) and now with Google. I now have triple contacts and so many intertwined that it is giving me huge grief. I just want to delete contacts, not wipe out my phone. Why is this so hard for Blackberry. Darn my palm pilot was so simple.
