I'd avoid encryption for that data, if possible. Encrypting the Simpsons? Remember, just because a feature is available, it doesn't mean that you should turn it on for your intended use.

It doesn't let me choose what to encrypt jus the whole Dame thing which socks Imo. I heard with old BlackBerry that u could place encryption on certain files and even passwords but here nada.

Fwiw, my sd card de/encryption was fasssst before 10.1.0.1483
I actually haven't been able to get it to complete encryption or decryption on the latest os, it seems to hang at 95ish%.. so I backed up the sd card and format it and I'm leaving sd encryption off for now.. also, usb mass storage seems to be locked & disabled if sd card encryption is turned on..

I don't why decryption is sooo slow. U think with it bring encrypted by the same phone it would know what was encrypted and what needs to be decrypted. Making it. A fast painless experience

There may be some perf enhancements or bug fixes in future OS revisions, but strong security is never fast nor painless. The I/O speed of your card is also a major choke point , even if you bought the fastest card.

    Good read:
