Anybody getting data loss. I sometimes can't access the net and I find the device has no access and the is a small letter e or h next to the network mi have to restart the phone to get data back on.

I've been facing the same issue, can't really figure out what its from...

I am in the UAE on Etisalat.. I have 2G & 3G on, but even on 2G alone I still get data drop, I am suspecting it's our ridiculous Provider here.. but haven't seen anyone else reporting this before now.

I do not think it is the provider I am getting no data in areas that I know have good coverage.

I am in Jordan and my provider is Zain. I contacted them and turns out they had other complaints on the same subject and they are in touch with BlackBerry to find a solution for the problem.

It seems this is Etisalat Related.. however keep an eye out for BIS Disconnection while you are connected to Wi-Fi.. this might be a bug...

It is not related to your carrier I have the same issue and happens a few times a day I contacted my carrier and learnt that they are following up with BlackBerry on the matter since they received a number of similar complaints.

Hi westend0r,

I'm on the o2 network in the UK, on the first day I got this phone I had this problem with the signal dropping (after contacting o2, they determined the masts within the area were at fault) . After that my signal has been super strong on this phone. Getting H+ almost everywhere I go (which hasn't been the case with previous phones)

Have you contacted VM about this? "VM here have awful customer Service"

Ok so checked mine the entire day, there is no issue as long as I stay away from wifi networks. I have been on 2G and 3G the entire day without any issues. As soon as I connect to wifi I loose my data and BBM doesn't work. This might be a bit different to what you all are experiencing.

How does being on 3g instead if wifi affect the battery dud you notice any difference!

I have a data drop issue but only when I turn on the WiFi. Both can't seem to work in tandem as my BBM stops working as soon as I connect to a WiFi network. Once I switch WiFi off, the data services resume and BBM starts working again and the logo re-appears.

I'm also on Etisalat in the UAE.

I was advised by my carrier to try setting it to 3g only in settings and to keep wifi off to see if the drops would disappear.

I have changed to 3g only (and wifi off) yesterday and so far no data drop.
