I always tell my friends and my clients the same thing when they asked me about email and Internet security.

Anytime you send an email, payment or other data over the Internet that's protected by any type of software security system, it can be stolen.

There is no 100% safe and secure method unless you have a closed network with only inside access.

It's just as capable to happen on a z10 as it is on the s3

As far as I'm concerned nothing is 100% safe. Somehow it can always be hacked or stolen.

Yeah, the more accurate, security-minded response, would be "therefore, I don't use any brand of phone, that uses NFC".

They happened to focus on Android phones, probably, because the apps are so readily available in the "Google store". But all someone has to do, is write a similar app for the z10 (if there isn't one already). The z10 is not any more secure in this regard.

Yes, android is only the chosen platform for now. Could just as easily happen on BlackBerry os 7 BlackBerry 10 or wp8

the article has to do with credit cards with nfc chips... you can't turn nfc off on your credit card. the phone is used as the means to steal info, it is not the object of vulnerability.
