I cracked the screen on my Z10 (T-Mobile STL100-3) and I don't have insurance. I wanted to know if anyone knows of any reliable repair centers in NYC and how much they charge. iPhone and Samsung replacement shops are a dime a dozen but I doubt they get many Z10s to repair. If I'm going to pay someone to repair my Blackberry I would like to feel comfortable knowing that they would do a better job than I would.

Sorry to hear about the problem with your screen. Hope you get it fixed reliably and as soon as possible.

Some folks have repaired the screens themselves. So I would expect any reliable cell phone repair shop to do a good job. BUT there are differences in the screens from model to model and I understand you do need to open them and make sure you get the correct part number - same as the original.

Best way to repair yourself is to get the frame and screen together

I got mine from here and all is good, like the other dude said just make sure you get the right version, but it's a very straightforward job.
    Good luck!

I think I may have to do that, T-Mobile referred me to a repair place that was trying to charge me $150.

Try looking on Craigslist. As for any prior experience with any of the repair shops, sorry.

It's only a few screws then the motherboard is held in with 5 ribbon connectors, easy!
