Download the beta version of WhatsApp from Beta Zone (available from BlackBerry World). It includes an unsupported feature that allows your chats to be exported to Android.

depends on the format of the history file. What extension does it use?

Bit off topic but how do we disable pictures from whatsapp automatically getting saved on the device. I've searched multiple times and played with settings but couldn't figure it out.

    Thanks

Well, there's a setting called media auto downland or something like it, which can be changed to your liking.

In other words, you have to copy the "WhatsApp" directory from the SD card to the Priv's internal storage, using a file manager app, before WhatsApp will be able to see/restore it.
