Hi everyone,

I need to copy my contacts from my Z10 to an excel or csv file URGENTLY.

The contacts I have on the phone are synced to a webmail account (outlook.office365.com) and I cannot pull them off the webmail account.

I have set up a new gmail account and tried to sync with the CardDav in Advanced settings but this does not pull the contacts off the phone into gmail.

Is there anyway that I can export the contacts directly from the phone directly??

Any help will be most gratefully received as this email account will be terminated today and I will lose all my contacts....

Make a backup of your phone on BBLink and then restore that to another phone?

There is an app in BlackBerry World called Fire Chest Backup .You can use that for saving the contacts to vcf files.

Easy.

1. Get Backup Pro from BlackBerry World. Watch 2 min demo vid here: youtu.be/aYRAx4Bh3Ew
2. Do a non encrypted backup.
3. Extract the resulting Zip file on you desktop computer.
4. You will find an individual vcf file for each contact. You will also find a single file called "contacts.vcf" which will contain all your contacts.
5. Go to this online vCard converted: Online vCard Converter
6. Load the "contacts.vcf" file into the website. Select "CSV" and press the "Convert" button.

Thanks for the replies. I have figured out a way to do this without having to spend any of my hard earned cash.

Download "Free Contact to Excel" app and do a backup of all contacts.

Delete the app.

Open File Manager / Device / Documents / BackupinExcel

And hey presto.....

There is the list of your contacts in csv. format.

There is a little formatting to do in the csv. format but works fine.

Ok we will add a csv file with a copy of all your contacts to the backup Zip file in the next update. Quite easy to implement.

Doh................................

I was so keen on finding a complicated way of doing this that I did not think about the perfectly obvious...

Connect Z10 to computer
Open Blackberry Link
Click on the device
Click on Contacts/Calendar
Click on the "Configure" link for sync of contacts
Under Sync direction perform a "one way sync to your computer"

Job done.

But the "Free Contacts to Excel" program is the only free way I can figure out to get a .csv file of your contacts.
