This is an excellent device. I am very happy at the moment. It does that BlackBerry really well. Any suggestions on apps that enhance the functionality of the native apps or the ideas behind them? I enjoy photo, GPS/map, weather. Not too big on gaming unless someone figures out how to play Doom on this thing.
Effetica for photo editing is a lot of fun (I think I have purchased around 9/10 total), and for saving text messages I highly recommend Exporter. Not sure of the price, I have had them both for a while, but I find myself going back to use them both often.
And, since you said you are a photo buff, then you MUST try out the Story Maker. One shot and I promise you will be hooked. My only regret is that I waited 4 months to try it out!
Thanks everyone...even BlackBerry people are the best.

I noticed this as well. After lurking android forums for years the maturity on this forum is extremely refreshing. And has basically locked me into blackberry for as long as blackberry is around.
I would like to see a direct print app that works over wifi with a password.
Complete car recognition software that allows the phone to pair with my car like it's smart key and remember my memory settings.
Full transit integration so I can for example manage my monthly ttc passes along with go transit, full schedules and so forth.
Full bridge capabilities but not just with PlayBook with any tablet. It would steal back people that want an android tablet but don't feel the need to keep an android phone.
Improve BlackBerry maps and BlackBerry travel. Maps should be Google maps essentially and travel should enable you to tie into carrentals.com for example to directly get the lowest rates right from your phone. No need for an extra app just BlackBerry travel.
