In my address book I have my contacts sorted by last name, first name. When accessing the contacts directly through the phone they are first name, last name. It's very annoying. When I'm looking to call John Smith I'm used to looking under S, but in the phone app I have to look under J.

Is there any way to change the contacts in the phone app to last name, first name?

Go into the home screen contacts app and swipe down from the top to get to settings. You can change display view to last name first and it will also change the phone contacts.

Um sorry but no. My contacts are already set last name first in my contact app. Have been since I have the phone. It is only displaying with first name first in the phone app.

Odd. I have mine both set for First, Last and when I saw your question I went and changed to last, first and it changed both.

Perhaps because all my contacts are local. I have no other links.

Nope. In mine it's first, last in the phone. I tried switching it around and then back, but no change.
