Here is my story..

So I transferred all my contacts from my old berry to the z10. Some of my phone book contacts are linked to Facebook. When I edit the name of one of my contacts through the contacts app, somehow a few days later that same contact that I edited, changes the name to what is associated with their Facebook. I edit it again and again and it always reverts back to the Facebook name.

How do I permanently make it stay to what I edited the name to be?

same problem for my z10 too. i did a factory reset but it still doesnt work, btw what is your Z10 version?

Kinda works, in that for Gmail it seems ok. Still annoyed that I can't reorder the links - seems to be alphabetical based on the account type, and uses the name associated with the account at the top of the list by default.

this auto rename kinda annoys me too, ended up i unlinked all the contacts from FB.

I did the same I didn't need or want Facebook friends in my phone contacts so I unlinked everything.

Just experienced a rather unpleasant glitch. After I sent myself a SMS from my other cell phone (and I have it in my contacts under my own name, well, you know, like a personal card we used to have on BB7) and suddenly after the text has been received, the name of my contact changed to one from Facebook. Can't figure out why. My Outlook.com contact is still on top of the list in links...

Keep my fingers crossed for BBRY to fix this mess soon...

I also find this very frustrating -- hopefully something on the radar to fix for BB.
