I hate having my facebook friends in my contact list who I did not already have in my phone so I disabled FB contacts in the contacts setting. Everytime the device reboots(which is usually once a day. Thanks Verizon) or after an extended period of time the contacts go back to showing my facebook contacts. Anyone else having this problem?

For me it is the twitter contacts that keep showing up. I think preferences not being saved is also common for other apps.

It's really annoying.

Same here. I tried to edit someone's name and it would let me enter it, but wouldn't save.

It is also not very easy to link a BBM contact to an address book contact. It was much easier to do in OS7, and let us pick which picture to use (either the BBM avatar or another one).

My Facebook contacts keeps showing up even after I turn it off in contacts. And my phone doesn't even reset at all and it comebacks on its own

When you select the contact, on the bottom by the edit, hit links. If you un tick the Facebook, your settings will save. Facebook just won't update the contacts profile picture.

On a side note, don't use this format : (702) 555-5555, especially if that contact is out of state. Your phone will automatically use YOUR area code.. start texting random people..

Pretty much all my contact settings don't save. I prefer sorting by last name, and NOT to have FB, twitter, LinkedIn in my contact list. I can set them. And it'll stay that way until I soft boot or just after an unknown period of time, everything is back in the list and it's sorting from the default first name.

So annoying. Is this a known bug in BB10? Please tell me it's being addressed in a future update.

I am having the same problem, both with setting and the sorting feature. It seems to hold the setting for a little while but at some point it reverts. For me, It isn't always after a restart either, it seems to be kind of random. Anyone have any info about this?

Any updates on this issue? I'm running 10.1.0.1916 on at&t and this problem persists. I have no idea what triggers it, but at some point after I click off all the contact types I DON'T want to see, it eventually reverts to displaying all of them. Just wondering if this is resolved on any of the later leaks.
