Ok so been having an odd glitch. On my address book all my contacts are there but when I go to my text app and type someone's name it never doesn't come up

.

Example...

Brent. Is in my address book. But doesn't show when I try to enter his name in the msging app...

Thoughts?

Following your example, if you press the plus sign in the address bar, is Brent in the list that appears?

Also should note that it does it in the phone app too. That's where I notice it the most.

I open the phone app. Click the contact list tab and then type the name and nothing. Even tho they are in my address list.

Could you've test something?
In Contacts app, swipe down from top, tap Settings.
Toggle SIM contacts to Off. Back out to save.

Exit Contacts, then re-open.
Are your contacts still there?

Basically, I was thinking maybe they were on SIM only and never restored properly to device.

Ya I don't have any contacts on my SIM at all. Idk it's odd. Its done this on every OS I've loaded.

you have to write down all of your contacts information then re add them and it will be fixed. For some reason contacts restored from an old 7.0 backup cause this. Because all of my newer contacts are fine

I never transfered. Everything is syncs with Gmail. I had a n4 before moving to the z10
