Can anyone post what's it's like to connect the z10 to a TV? Does it support 1080p? Can you watch a movie with audio? Does the Z10 become a controller or can you mirror the OS on the TV? Just curious..

Likely just like the PLAYBOOK with options.

I'll try tomorrow when my cable arrives on a 55"
The video on the z10 is 1080p 30fps , so thd output via hdmi should/would be the same. Don't have one yet to test.
Do a video on the Z10(1080p) and feed it to the tv,that should tell you real quick
Edit: here ya go ,
BlackBerry High-Speed HDMI Cable (ACC-40486-101) for Z10, PlayBook | BlackBerry Audio & Video | CrackBerry Canada
There's also DLNA.
Found this thread in my search.
At a workshop this past week the presenter was using an iPad and was mirroring onto the large TV using Apple TV. I know the Z10 can do the same with HDMI, but can it be done wirelessly? I am talking about more than media, but the whole image, so that I can wirelessy show the whole system.
Edit: I don't have the Z10 yet, still rocking my Storm 2 :p
It does audio, video and replicates what is on the screen to the tv. I've used it to watch anime and play Nova 3.
HDMI or wirelessly?
Like the previous poster said, mirrors perfectly through HDMI out, either for showing pics, vids or gaming. Also auto rotates, uses camera functions for pics and video recording (kids love seeing themselves on a big screen!) My PS3 finds it on the network as a media device and can play pics/vids from it. If you run XBMC on anything (ie jailbroken AppleTV) it will also support DLNA "Play On" style.
Heck. I connected wireless to my smart TV. Works great!! Videos,music,pictures..pick the item..Select 'play on' and pick the device (TV).
Yes, I understand that this is possible; the same is possible with the PS3. I am trying to understand if I can mirror the whole device (not just media) wirelessly if I want to demo it for example on my bigscreen tv.
Anyone ever able to confirm if the z10 can be mirrored wirelessly anyway?
No way that I know of to wirelessly mirror the Z10 on a DLNA connection. Not sure if any accessories (like appleTV in your example) are available to do this yet. Also not sure if any apps would be able to do this over wifi or BT.

You might be able to find wireless hdmi solutions with dongles on either side (BB, and TV)

What cable do I need to connect Z10 to TV/Monitor?
It should be a HDMI (TV) to micro-HDMI (Z10) cable, there are 2 in the Crackberry store at
https://forums.crackberry.com/e?link...token=TApcSUfD
Or you can search online. Amazon.com and monoprice.com are good places to look as well.
Make sure your TV has HDMI inputs.

One word-- DLNA!

I believe Wireless HDMI or Miracast is listed as a feature of 10.2. What devices/ TVs support that is an entirely different question.

I have a cable and blue tooth keyboard and mouse that works great with my Z10. DNLA will only support media files, not the whole screens.
