I recently contacted CIBC Internet services to ask why they do not have the edeposit feature on the BlackBerry App and I was told that "Cibc has not announced if they will offer edeposit services to BlackBerry phones in the near future ".
What a surprise, another Canadian company not supporting BlackBerry. I emailed Cibc customer service. Let's see what answer I will get.

According to CIBC, the camera integration on BlackBerry is different than it is on Android and iOS and this is why the eDeposit service isn't available on BlackBerry's (dare I say as yet). Also, remember CIBC and Rogers introduced mobile payments via NFC, and launched it on BlackBerry. You win some, you lose some. It's not all a sinister plot to bring BlackBerry down.

    Open an ING account.

They have a BB app, it lets you deposit by picture.

ING, save your money (and earn interest too)

CIBC "app" is garbage, I am still using the browser into www.cibc.com , it works better than their crApp.

I'm using the android app as well. Working great, I've already deposited several checks with it. But I kept the BlackBerry version installed to so I get notified when there's an update, as I'm sure it's coming eventually. CIBC has been pretty good about developing BlackBerry apps.. eventually.

If you are using BBOS 10.2.1, you can sideload a bar file called Snap. Is a Google Play store front and you can install any Android app from the Google Play store via Snap.

Did you try turning off developer mode? Also you may need to reinstall it.

Thanks. I went to imobile and downloaded it fast and east and there was the cibx apk which I downloaded and although I had to delete and reopen Cibc app it works great! Can't think why anyone would want to use snap or sideload via chrome etc!

I side loaded the app as well, using snap. Works well. I have done a few checks and just deposited my income tax refund this afternoon.

Maybe its in the works, they just don't want to confirm anything?
