Back story - I am a volunteer firefighter and EMT. Our dispatch is broadcast via text messages, as well as being sent to our "pagers".
When I had my 9900, I was able to set a specific tone so that my phone would alert me to an incoming text (only from our dispatch) , even if it was in silent mode. The only way to completely silence my phone during meetings, etc, was to set "all alerts off". This was a very important feature for me, as it ONLY woke me up for a text from our dispatch.
I can't seem to set my z10 to do the same thing. I have an STL 100-3. Version 10.1.0.2019.
Any help would be very much appreciated

The only thing I have found is Parental Controls. Settings>Privacy and Security>Parental Controls. If you enable it, then check off Text Messages from Contacts only, you will only receive texts from people on your contact list. Not sure how relevant this will be for you, as some contacts lists have tons of people and you just want to configure for one contact. I have heard of a third party app and that it was possible to configure SMS notifications, but I can't remember what it was. I'll keep looking.

Figured as much. I have my contacts trained fairly well. I only get texts from work, so it was doable for me.

Ive got a similar issue. I also receive urgent work related texts. I setup a different alert for these texts but it is not working. When I receive one of these work texts my phone only vibrates, which is the setting I have for the non work texts. I had this same setup on my 9930 and it worked fine.

Install 10.2.1.1055 that has the option for every contact to set up special ring tone for call and for text

How about an option to have the audio alert still sound, no matter which profile you are currently set at.
