isnt it funny that our "phones" are getting even more complicated and can do all kinds of things. but in this case the "phone" functionality is the one that is lacking or poor. I love my z10 though.

Yes this is annoying, probably intentional to prevent your face from hanging up when on a call. My 9930 often goes into speaker mode if i sandwich the phone between my face and my shoulder...maybe i need to lose a few lbs???

Happened to me before I wiped my phone. After a clean wipe and refresh install this has not yet been an issue but before it was a real pain in the rear........

I always close the window thinking ive ended the call - but it really hasnt disconnected...its really annoying.

They need to make one of the other hard keys on the phone function as an end button - bc you might be working on an app while on a call and to disconnect you have to go to your call window and hit the end call button 5 million times.

why couldnt they just keep the features the same...

Zyphen, you swipe up once to get to active frames and in-call access to other programs. My problem is that when I swipe up to active frames and and then
Click on the "X" to close out the phone app, it doesn't hang up the phone.

Sorry, I misread that as swiping up the phone app would hang up the phone, so much for my college level reading skills! In agreement now.

I had the same problem especially hitting the number from hub by mistake and trying to cancel or end the call. Now I have learned that you need to keep it pressed for about 2 seconds to end or cancel the call not just tap it.

So glad I came across this thread. I was beginning to think it was me, but tonight I really noticed that I had to keep pressing the key for the call to end.

Thought I was the only one with the issue. The caller on the other end usually hangs up on me even though I had been trying for several seconds. Seems the touch screen is unresponsive which is very annoying. Hope its addressed in an update.

I have had this problem too, so I always verify that the call is truly disconnected. Don't want any embarrassing moments.

Does anyone else think that closing the phone active frame should automatically hang up a call? I find myself closing the active frame only to realize a phone call is still active.

Yeah, it's a little weird. I close the active frame thinking it will end the call, but then the call app pops back up.
E.g. Cases where I accidentally clicked on a number in the Hub and the call app starts to open up. So I swipe it up and close it, but it then restarts and resumes calling.

Every phone I've ever owned from the Startac, 1st gen Razor, to this phone, had this problem, when they first came out. All of them eventually updated up to point of being instantaneous, so I'm not worried as I'm confident, it will be no different with the Z10.

Ah, this brings me back to the days that one had to go the carrier to get updates uploaded onto the phone.

Glad to know That a future update shall fix this problem.

However I'm not happy.

It's been aggravating to see calls are made when no action was taken to this effect. And to see that ENDING a call is not easily assured when pressing the End Call button.

There is nothing professional or high quality about this problem. There is nothing excusable about it, because the manufacturer makes phones.
