I bought an album from BlackBerry World three days ago and have only been able to download 4 of 12 tracks. The rest give me a download error. I've tried the trick of changing the content control and restarting BlackBerry World but that hasn't helped. I've had no problem downloading app updates over the past few days, but no luck with the music. Does anybody have a suggestion?

Whenever this happens, usually clearing the BB World cache fixes the issue.

    1. Open BB World.
    2. Swipe down from top, select Settings.
    3. Tap the version number. (There will NOT be any visible indication that anything happened!)
    4. Tap Back.
    5. Swipe up to minimize. Long press the X until BB World frame closes.
    6. Re-open BB World to see if issue is resolved.

There is no option for clearing the cache under BlackBerry World settings.

    That's correct. It's a hidden trick.
Just follow my instructions. That clears the cache.

No dice. I guess I'll go back to buying music from iTunes.

    No?
That's too bad, usually does the trick.

    Please try one more time.
Because there's no visible indicator that you presses the version number, tap it a few times. Maybe long press it for a few seconds too.
    Won't hurt anything.

Afterwards close BB World by holding down on the X of its active frame. (i.e. Don't just tap the X like usual.)

Next, do a device reset. (NOT the same as a restart.)
Hold down top button, for about 30 seconds.
Keep pressing it down, ignoring onscreen countdown and restart option, BB splashscreen, black screen, red LED, BB splashscreen again.
I keep holding it down until I see the blue startup icon.

See if anything is fixed after the reboot. Fingers crossed...

I am having the same problem. Downloaded a complete album plus a single track from a different artist. Not one track will download. Apps are ok but not music. I've tried resetting the cashe and doing a long hold on the top power button -- nothing

Can anyone help? I'm sad that I paid for this music and can't download it.

    Thx!

I kept trying different things and was finally able to download my tracks. The only way I was able to do so was to change the setting in BlackBerry World to save music and videos to the SD Card and download the music directly to the device. I then had to manually move them to the SD Card (and was not actually able to put them in the music folder) but the music player still recognizes the music and I can finally listen to the songs I paid for! Yay!
