See the attached screen shot folks, I can't delete a computer from link.

Prior to the screen shot I took, there were about 5 computers in the list.

I have unlinked my Z10 from the installs of link on the various computers and removed the link software, yet they still keep coming back to my device.

So to summarise, how do I delete a computer that refuses to delete and how do I remove old computers so they no longer return?

    Thanks.

Go to BlackBerry Link on computer and delete your device from there. Then delete your computer from your device afterwards. see if that helps.

I'm in the same boat. There are two connections for me that keep coming back no matter what I do. Even a security wipe brings then back.

In 10.2 you can go to the settings blackberry link maintain push that computer you want to delete and then in the right side of the phone you get the delete trash can, and you can deleted

I have a related issue. Except, I can delete the phantom computers that pop up as connected computers. But why I get them in the first place, I don't know.

I loaded Link on only two computers. My home, and my work PCs. I gave each one their own names. And, I see both in the BlackBerry Link section of the phone's Settings.

But, I'm always getting one, sometimes two, additional random computers showing up in there as well. Always named "Desktop-xxxx", where the x's are a random number-letter combination.

I don't know where they are coming from. I can delete them, but a day or so later, and one or two come back.

I'm running OS 10.2.1.1055, but I've had this with previous OSs going back to 10.1.

    Just kind of weird.

I've had the issue as well.
The Desktop named computers are what appears to be blackberry links internal name for your computers.

What I did to fix it. Is renamed the computers in BlackBerry Link and changed them back. It kept only the good copy after that

Well I'm at the point of considering making a call to BlackBerry tech support.

This is rather silly, why can we manage the computers associated with a device online via BBID?

For those asking, no I am not hooked up to a BES.

I have this issue as well. I only have one PC linked to my phone and has never been linked to another. I have 4 entries in my list, three if them are Desktop-xxxx, and one is my actual PC.
    What is this?

I have the same issue. They're not random though. They're all old additions from before I wiped my computer. Yes, I've wiped numerous times and have dual boot machines. I can't delete them permanently. Kind of annoying but not really an issue. I wouldn't mind a fix for this though. I don't see why I can't just remove the computers I no longer want to give permission to from my phone.

Maybe if we actually ask BlackBerry about this they'd at least know about it. Maybe as it stands they have no clue about it and it could be an easy fix. I'll tweet them this topic.

That logic actually should apply to most bugs that are found. While BB may have someone monitoring CB, we should not count on it and reporting bugs amongst ourselves may not be accomplishing much in getting them addressed. Although, obviously letting each other know can be very helpful.

No, definitely. A lot of people come here first so it's good to get them out there so people can find solutions or at least know they're not alone. We just can't rely on only posting our issues here.
