I have many messages in the hub from Linkedin but they cannot be deleted. Any suggestions?

Have you tried the "delete prior" option?
Go to the Linkedin view in the Hub. Long press on the uppermost date bar. A menu should slide out from the right. Tap the trash container at the bottom.
Depending on how many entries there are, it may take a while - be patient.

I have this issue too.

Another workaround is to open the message/item within the Hub and delete from within.

Good catch. I forgot to mention the obvious. Probably because I'm too lazy to deal with them one by one.

Same issue. Also my sent messages from LinkedIn show up in the Hub dsepite me not having "Show sent messages" on. My workaround was to archive the messages I didn't want and the sent messages through the website, then disable and re-enable sync messages in the hub, which should clean up everything. Deleting from within the message didn't work for me but I'll try the delete prior option next time.
