This would be my suggestion as well.

my bb maps doesnt work anymore, therefore you need to reinstall the OS to get it back.

BB Maps and all the other apps seem to be working great with the OS leak 1483. Try that if you have to wipe anyway. I've even got Skype and Netflix to work.

No. That would just be useful to get your data back, it does not relate to the OS reload.

Try Starting BBlink before attaching your BB. Make sure that disconnected devices are set to show. When you click on the bottom tab for the disconnected BB you will see the option to reload if you are having problems. Plug in your BB and before the computer recognizes it, press that reload button. It will download a fresh copy of the stock OS and install it over whatever you are running.

EDIT:
Same basic thing as diegonei mentioned. Link instructs you to turn off the BB with a 10 sec power button hold after you start the above.
