I upgraded my phone to 10.2 on 24th but since then the phone doesn't change to landscape mode when i rotate it. Are there any particular settings I need to look at?

How about Rotation Lock?

You might enabled Rotation Lock by accident that's why it won't go landscape mode. Are you aware of this feature? To see if it's enabled, swipe from the top part of the screen down, you'll see a Rotation Lock setting.
I found out if you enter BBM through your Hub, the screen will rotate. If you enter BBM through its own icon, the screen is stuck in portrait.
had the same problem. can't believe I was that stupid.
