Quick question, fellas. If I were to buy a canadian Z10 will LTE work? My carrier uses 1700MHz and 2100MHz. I looked up the spec sheets on the US, CA and UK BlackBerry site, and none of them list 2100MHz under LTE, so I'm lost.
Thank you very much!

I was under the impression that Rogers and ATT had pretty much the same frequencies, but don't quote me on that.
Rogers & ATT use the same networks & frequencies. This is why if you have a Rogers phone & go to the states, the phone will go straight to ATT. If you are from the states & have a ATT phone, it will connect to the Rogers network straight.
Okay, when Im home, my 9900 switches from Telcel to AT&T. Is it safe to assume it will actually work?
The Z10 works fine with Rogers here and LTE does work.
Im guessing you are on AT&T, is that right Thunder?
I'm on Rogers
Well, yeah. Canadian phones work on canadian networks if I'm not mistaken. But I was asking about the 1700&2100MHz LTE bands my carrier uses. Telcel, specifiaclly.
Some dude said they rogers one works on at&t (my carrier uses at&t when Im on the states) so I was wondering if the 3 were fully compatible, LTE-wise.
And he ca.blackberry.com page listed only one model with no 2100 band.
Damn.. Thanks, by the way :)
Self bump because I really, really need this :(
The Rogers site lists LTE bands 700/850/1700/1900 HSPA+/HSPA bands 850/1900/2100 GSM/EDGE bands 850/900/1800/1900 under the Z10 Specs
Does that help?
Yea sure, it will work no problem!!! If it doesn't let us know though so we don't make the mistake...worst thing that happens is you stick it on ebay and make a few $$.

Rogers, Bell, TELUS all use the same GSM network and as for AT&T, they're systems are identical to that of Canadian carriers. So alas, if you unlock it or buy an unlocked version it will work fine as kind.
Well, a rep told me I needed 1700 for download and 2100 upload on LTE. But who cares! I think Ill give it a shot, it should work on 1700 only. Thank you guys!
That's odd, my understanding has always been that Bell and TELUS do share towers (and Koodo, Virgin Mobile and Solo) and they DO NOT share with Rogers (and Fido.)
Also, Bell (and TELUS etc.) fall back to CDMA. Rogers to GSM/EDGE.
this was posted earlier http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...-world-766681/
Just because they don't share the useage across their towers doesn't mean they don't have the same frequencies. Cell comoanies usually have to pay each other to "share" towers. Think about when ylur phone goes to the rare SOS logo instead of the bars. That means it is getting service from somewhere (at least in the US) and ALL carriers are required to allow someone to call an emergency number regardless of service, eben if a phone and/or SIM has been deactivated.
... Most carries in Canada use the same bands, that doesn't change the fact that they DON'T all use the same towers, which is what the poster claimed; that Bell, Telus AND Rogers share tower usage.
Now can someone confirm using a Rogers/Telus/Bell/Koodo Z10 on Wind or T-Mobile? Engadget says the frequencies are covered.
How old is this quote? The LTE frequencies are not identical. I think that is causing a lot of confusion.
In Canada the big three (Bell, Rogers, and Telus) all use Band 4 (1700/2100) for their LTE networks. Sounds like that is also what Telco uses based on what you've mentioned and the Wikipedia link that was posted. In the US only T-Mobile uses Band 4 for LTE with the other carriers possibly using Bands 2, 5, and 17 according to AnandTech. That's why LTE worked on the Nexus 4 in Canada but not really anywhere in the US. BlackBerry's spec. sheet in Canada says the Z10 supports LTE bands 2, 5, 4, and 17.
Short answer: the Canadian Z10 definitely supports Band 4 LTE which is 1700/2100 MHz. Whether a Canadian Z10 will work on Telcel's HSPA+ (3.5G) network, I have no idea.
Hope that helps.
I confirm. Rogers and ATT = same frequencies.
Is there anyone that can confirm that they have a Rogers Z10 unlocked/SIM free working on AT&T 4G LTE?
Soo has anyone got a rogers running on tmobile usa? I'm looking at one locally but it would seem based on my readings it will only get lte when it comes out or 3g (sooo not hspa+ with tmob)
