    Hey all,

    I just picked up my new Z10 and had a question for everyone. Can the new Z10 camera zoom in? I've been unsuccessful at trying to find a way. I was thinking it would be dragging my finger up or down close to the sides of the screen but nope.

    Any help is appreciated ?

    Hello there, ofcurse you can zoom in the camera i'll try help you how,

    Open camera
    Switch on normal mode (not time shift)
    Do the same thing you do when you wanna zoom a picture you're viewing or maps or a website, you know, drag two fingers to each other

    Keep in mind it doesnt work in Time shift mode

    That's really good news, even though it is just a digital zoom, with the 1080p it will be just fine when you want to zoom no a closer picture, not a bird on a tree. Still pretty good.

    The digital zoom on the z10 is pretty good. This is a super crop that still shows nice detail.

    Note that it's not optical zoom (real zoom) that you are getting. You won't get a more detailed picture with digital zoom. It will actually be less detailed, because with digital zoom the camera picks a segment of the overall frame and then make that section bigger (creating a more pixelated, less detailed photo) as opposed to actually zooming in on the subject, which gives the same level of detail as the original, non-zoomed photo had.

    The zoom function works, but don't confuse the zoom on a cell phone camera with real zoom. The lens itself cannot move and isn't able to actually zoom in.

    I honestly didn't know how to zoom in and thought it was quite awkward to hold the camera and move myself closer to the object =p
