    Why doesent it make a noise or when I have a email or message etc when I'm in a call? And when their is call waiting is its quit barely hear it miss calls all the time.

    I have asked the same quesion, I cannot believe Blackberry would remove this functionality. I am hoping they will enable notify while on a call for email, text and BBM soon.

    Why would any phone make sounds when you're in a call? Can't you just look at the screen every few minutes?

    There was a thread a short while ago regarding this issue... i've missed a few calls because the tone is awfully low (call waiting notification), no fix yet.     BTW, my 9700 is horrible with this, too. It's often so quiet, you miss it.

    yeah, it's the first time i've really had this problem...no issues on my 9000 or 9900... My mom has a 9700 and that works flawlessly too...

    InvalidUser, there are many reasons one would want a beep when they are on a call. This function has always been available until the Z10. For a business user, important messages can be coming in while I am on a call. You sound like you are the type of person that just looks at their phone and hopes they have a message, I would rather be notified.
