I just recently got this phone and battery life is awful would someone help me with this problem?

Did u recently update the OS? If so, sometimes it takes a few days for the OS to 'settle'. Battery life should improve.

Furthermore, since u recently got it, are you using it constantly because you're setting up things? That could also be a reason. Under normal use the battery life should be better.

Also try things such as lowering the brightness, turning off nfc, bluetooth when not in use, etc.

I leave everything off and turn it on when I need to, but right when I got the phone I updated it because it gave me the option to update.

What you're seeing is about normal for a Z10. It has an under specified battery compared to all the other BB10 phones.

Get used to charging it up in the evening if you want to use it day and night and always charge over night.

Judging by your screenshot, there's really not much you can do. The battery life on the Z10 is not that good compared to other phones.

Oh I didn't know that because I came from a lumia 900 and I would get 10-15 hours of battery life

if I read correctly your graph, you had 7h30 running and 6 to go which is 13h30 total with the same level of usage ?
Sounds pretty normal on a single charge for a Z10. (Add a few hours if you let your device sleep)

I took out the battery for 15 minutes like i seen some had done on here and oddly it worked for me. I can get 2 days out of one battery charge most days coming from a charge every 7-12 hours.

Not much you can do OP. The Z10's battery life is definitely less than stellar (which is an understatement lol)

Your getting 12+ hours, which is good. Many find with heavy use only 7-8. Consider getting the Z10 battery pack, i have one and never worry about battery life again!

Not only normal, but exactly what the op is saying he was used to getting with his Nokia, so I'm not sure what he is saying, asking, or wanting.

Z30 with medium use
Q10 with low to medium
Z10 with low use
BB7 devices

Not sure why you expect more. Either buy a Z30, or get a battery pack from Crackberry. Only other option is to get a Z10 super battery online.

But yes battery sux on the Z10. Don't ever use maps when traveling as it'll be toast real fast. It does help a lot by minimizing the map app and letting it just speak directions. But ita still pretty bad

Are you kiddin me ? you're getting 15 hours if i'm correct, i only get up to 8 hours on my Z10, and i'm a heavy user !

According to your usage, it looks like your phone is headed for 13-14 hours total, before the battery dies. That is pretty close to the 10-15 hours you were getting with the Lumia.
